To maintain a safe, productive, and respectful environment for everyone, these Community Guidelines define the standards of behavior we expect from all users. By using Everity, you agree to abide by these rules and contribute positively to the community.
- Respectful Communication
Respect is the cornerstone of a thriving community. All users are expected to:
- Use polite and professional language in all interactions, including posts, comments, and private messages.
- Refrain from using offensive, vulgar, or inflammatory language aimed at individuals, groups, or brands.
- Avoid engaging in personal attacks, threats, or harassment, whether directly or indirectly.
- Disagreements are natural, but they must be handled respectfully, focusing on constructive dialogue rather than criticism.
- Failure to adhere to respectful communication may result in warnings, content removal, or account suspension.
- Authentic Interactions
To build trust and transparency, users must:
- Ensure that all feedback, suggestions, or posts are accurate, honest, and made in good faith.
- Avoid impersonating other individuals, brands, or entities.
- Brands must provide clear and accurate information about their products, services, and communities. Misleading claims are strictly prohibited.
- Customers are encouraged to share their genuine experiences and avoid exaggerating or fabricating issues.
- Authenticity fosters meaningful connections and helps create a trustworthy environment for all.
- No Harmful or Illegal Content
Content that poses risks to individuals, communities, or the platform is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Hate speech, racial or ethnic slurs, sexist remarks, or discriminatory comments.
- Content that promotes violence, self-harm, or criminal activities.
- Posting explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive material.
- Sharing malware, phishing links, or harmful software.
- Encouraging or glorifying illegal activities such as fraud, hacking, or drug use.
Everity actively monitors for harmful content and will take immediate action, including reporting violations to relevant authorities if necessary.
- Protecting Privacy
Privacy is essential to maintaining a safe community. To safeguard users’ rights, we expect:
- No posting of personal information about others, such as phone numbers, email addresses, or home addresses, without their explicit consent.
- Brands must handle any collected customer data responsibly and in compliance with applicable privacy laws, including India’s DPDP Act.
- Everity strictly prohibits doxing or exposing private details of individuals without consent.
- Violations will result in content removal, account suspension, and potential legal action.
- Brand and Customer Conduct
- For Brands:
- Brands must act professionally and ensure their communications align with Everity’s community standards.
- Misuse of the platform, such as spamming, deceptive marketing, or manipulating feedback, is strictly prohibited.
- Brands may request the removal of user-generated content, but approval from Everity is required before action is taken.
- For Customers:
- Customers must engage constructively, providing feedback that is clear, actionable, and devoid of personal biases or attacks.
- Abusive behavior toward brands or their representatives is unacceptable.
- Content Moderation
Everity strives to maintain a balance between free expression and community safety. Content moderation includes:
- Reviewing and removing content that violates these guidelines.
- Allowing users to report inappropriate content through built-in tools.
- Implementing moderation actions, such as issuing warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent account bans for repeated violations.
All moderation actions are taken with careful review to ensure fairness.
- Intellectual Property Respect
Intellectual property must be respected by all users. This includes:
- Sharing only content, you own or have permission to use.
- Properly attributing content borrowed from other sources, including images, articles, or quotes.
- Brands must ensure that their promotional materials comply with copyright laws and do not infringe on the rights of others.
- Prohibited Activities
To protect the platform and its users, the following actions are prohibited:
- Attempting to hack, disrupt, or manipulate the platform’s infrastructure.
- Using automated bots or scripts for unauthorized activities.
- Engaging in fraudulent activities, including creating fake accounts or reviews.
Violations may result in legal action, in addition to account termination.
- Consequences for Violations
Everity takes violations seriously. Depending on the severity of the breach, the following actions may be taken:
- Removal of content violating these guidelines.
- Temporary or permanent suspension of accounts.
- For brands, loss of access to their communities or additional restrictions.
- Reporting illegal activities to law enforcement authorities.
- Appeals Process
Users who believe a moderation action was taken in error may appeal through Everity’s support system. Appeals are reviewed thoroughly, and users will receive a response within 5-7 business days. Everity’s final decision will be binding.
- Updates to Guidelines
As our platform evolves, these guidelines may be updated periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes through platform announcements or emails. By continuing to use Everity, you accept the updated guidelines.
